Physiotherapy/IMS

Get back to action faster. Interventions range from traditional physiotherapy approaches to more advanced modalities such as IMS dry needling and Shockwave therapy. Each therapist brings no less than 15 years experience to your rehabilitation program. A combination of in-office interventions and home exercise strategies will ensure you have the best chances for a full and lasting recovery.


Massage Therapy

Each massage session can be tailored to uniquely to your specific needs. All therapists have extensive experience in providing everything from therapeutic deep tissue sports massage to restorative relaxation techniques. Kristyne grew up competing in sports and still loves to be active. A long time healthcare worker, Lyndsey is passionate about evidence-based therapies and has a therapeutic approach to improve quality of life. Dr. Hankins has been involved in multidisciplinary therapy teams for over 20 years. He took over operations of Bridgeland Chiropractic in 2000 and orchestrated its conversion to Bridgeland Sport and Spine, a full service Rehabilitation Clinic.

Dr. Hankins has been providing Active Release Techniques since 2002 and was involved in bringing the Graston treatment to Calgary in 2003. He attended the annual scientific meetings of the International Society of Medical Shockwave Therapy in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and is one of the few therapists in Canada certified by the ISMST in providing shockwave therapy.

Dr. Anderson is a certified provider in Active Release Technique (A.R.T.), Graston Technique, Kinesiotape, Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, and IMS.

Dr. Anderson has also studied Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization from the Prague School of Rehabilitation. He has worked with the Alberta Ballet and the Polish National Bobsled team. He travelled with the Canadian National Bobsled and Skeleton teams for two years. He taught Neurology at Foothills College of Massage from 2009-2011.

Kara graduated from the University of Alberta in 2004 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy.

Kara has over 10 years of clinical experience in a wide array of areas, including, sports injuries, post operative rehabilitation, chronic pain, and exercise prescription. She has worked extensively with elite level youth athletes from a variety of sports, including hockey, skiing, soccer and running.

Kara has obtained several post-graduate certifications and courses, including her Certificate in Anatomical Acupuncture, Certificate in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS), Part A and B of McKenzie Certification and basic level 2 upper and lower Manual Therapy.
